CASIO has applied its unique new Laser & LED Hybrid Light Source to achieve breakthrough development of a mercury-free high-brightness projector. Adopting a new semiconductor-based light source system combining a blue laser, phosphor and a red LED, we have achieved both high-brightness performance enabling projection in well-lit rooms and environmental friendliness with mercury eliminated from the light source.
CASIO developed a new semiconductor light source technology combining a red LED, phosphor and a blue laser. This source achieves high luminance safely by employing a phosphor device to modify the wavelengths and phases of blue laser light.
Quick operation provides simple use anytime, anywhere, in an instant.
CASIO projectors achieve a startup speed far exceeding that of conventional mercury lamp projectors. Casio also achieve a fast, convenient restart after use because of no need time for both warm-up and cool-down time.
Moreover, CORE and Advanced series can be switched off by just one touch a button like TV.
Brightness is automatically adjusted to the optimal level for room brightness, which reduces electrical power costs. Adjustment is one of 7 brightness levels and Manual adjustment is also supported.
New CORE and Advanced series support Stick type terminal even without external power. Possible to supply power, also to other stick type terminals, which have become more available recently such as stick type PC.
*Supported stick type terminals will be announced on CASIO Website after checking operations.
There is a wide variety of projection setup to meet various uses, however almost mainstream projectors are capable of only two orientations, Desktop and Ceiling mounted. New CORE and Advanced series realized more configuration freedom, and it supports a wide range of applications.
Total cost of ownership (TCO) includes not only the projector’s purchase price but also all the expenses incurred during its lifetime of operation. CASIO’s original SSI*2 light source with its extremely long lifetime of 20,000 hours and low power consumption realizes exceptional cost performance compared with conventional mercury lamp projectors through savings on expenditures for lamp replacement and the associated labor and lost operating time as well as for electric power.
CASIO projectors are equipped with an SSI* light source employing the mostadvanced light source technology. Although the use of mercury is widely prohibited worldwide today, this hazardous substance continues to be employed as a light source for conventional projector lamps. CASIO has eliminated the use of mercury from its products in consideration of the environment. Adoption of an SSI light source, combined with CASIO’s original energy-saving design, also contributes to reducing CO2 emissions.
* SSI (solid state illumination) light sources employ LEDs, lasers or other such lighting technologies.
